Sorry....

All apologies in advance....I realize many feel the old Goldwing should sound like a choked up vintage VW running on unicorn farts and driven by hyper-milers, but I have other plans:

Step one post Maritime http://ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=58586 trip is complete. Strip all that garbage off the bike and get naked.
Step two is to strip the colored bits and get to a single color (in process)
Step three is prepare for a 1200 transplant (in process, have donor engine)

It's warm here in CO today so I had to devote some attention to the bike, all naked and afraid in the garage. And after I got robbed (literally) by zipster on the original exhaust I sent out, I had to decide what to replace it with. Enter the shorty exhaust and I think I like it...

Love that sound!
Goldwings don't accelerate, they gain inertia.

1978 GL1000 - almost stock - needs a head replaced, parts are ready to install!
1979 GL1000 - Winter project/parts bike - custom "Busted"
1983 GL1100 Standard- raised from the dead and back to organ donor status
And the newest acquisition, 1979 XS 650F to be a sidecar tug. crossy.gif
