It just looks like trash!
Now that Matilda is on the road, I needed a new project. Being a glutton for punishment, I drove to Houston yesterday and bought another basket case. --Yes, I know, I have been here before. Dragon Wing started like this. But this time I plan to attempt my own painting and a few other tasks previously farmed out in the interest of doing it right.
This is a '75 with most of her parts accounted for (even if most are unusable!). The PO (the last one) rounded up several items like a new OEM water pump and a Randakk carb kit and video etc. The engine has been cleaned up a bit but will need a lot more before it is ready to paint.
I'm not quite sure where I am going with this. If it were in better condition I probably would try to restore it to more or less original. But I think that will be too costly considering the condition of the fenders, chrome, etc. I think I will just get the engine and frame looking good and see where that leads. I wanted a bike with spokes so I am pretty sure I will attempt to re-lace the original wheels.
The forks need a lot of work and I have a set of 81 forks (that also need work) but it looks like the conversion might be more trouble than it is worth. --Would I be able to retain the spoke wheels?
Well, enough soul searching, on to the pictures:

Most of the parts? Amazing how little space they take on a trailer. My wife claims they take over the whole garage!

So are you saying it's trailer trash? Sorry I couldn't resist. I'm looking forward to seeing it come together.

That looks a lot like the first car I owned ... '61 Hillman Minx inherited from my Uncle. Dad called it my bucket-o-bolts.

Yes, that is where the belts go also, the PO says the belts were new two years ago when he started the project and have never been run (for obvious reasons). But, I guess I will buy a new set, just because.
