As Eric suggests, I would clean up the spline areas and see if there's anything that might be causing interference, first. Then I'd remove the hub from the wheel and fit it to the final drive by itself to see if there's a compatability issue, then try slipping just the wheel info the final drive for the same reason. My 2 cents...

Came home last night at about 11pm after work and found this in my garage! My buddy was selling it and the wife bought it and surprised me with it!

77 WING, 1200 engine with 77 heads, cams, gl1100 foot pegs, Magna V65 front end, 764A carbs, [-gone Suzuki M109 monoshock--, replaced with gl1100 shocks] gl 1200 swing arm, gl1500 final drive, wheel and rear brakes Valkyrie seat, Meanstreak tank, Sportster pipes, Power Arc ignition off crank.

Thanks! I managed to go on my first ride on a motorcycle(xs400)on one of the few nice days we've had. Very nervous but smiled from ear to ear even though I just rode up and down my road.

I was wondering because I have an extra set of rear shocks for the XS400 would the support the weight of the Goldwing?
