Great work! The bike has great lines and the color is very snazzy. Love your Goldwing shirt too, great touch for the photo!

As I said before really like your final results but it is always good to have a decent bike to start with. Lesters are usually worth the price of admission all by themselves. By the way, I just painted my third bike (a 78 GL) nearly that same color. Mine is Volkswagon "Forest Mist".
Bikes at present:

And a slightly worse for the wear BMW GS adventure bike awaiting repair

Certainly didn't look to bad when you first got it, but you definitely made it look better!

It's a speed triple seat, the second one I've used on a gl1000, you have to move the front gl seat hoop forward about 1" to get the new seat close to the tank, the new seat has a tongue under them that will fit under the gl seat hoop, the under side rear of these ST seats have threaded inserts on them which allow for brackets that line up perfect to where I bolted the seat via the frame and rear fender, once I got this all lined out i took the foam off you'll see that the seat is still short of the tank, pie cut center, left and right of the radius part of the front of the seat, start small 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" long, use a heat gun and start heating the top of your pie cuts and start working the plastic toward the tank ( wear gloves ) you might have to trim a little here and there to get a good shape, once you're happy with it set your foam back on and see what needs trimmed, after that I took poster paper and taped it to the Trimmed foam, shaped it to the tank so my apolster guy knew just how far I needed the fabric to reach for a snug fit, go slow, make small moves, doesn't take much to screw it up.... good luck

A perfect addition to the BTM Intergalactic Gallery of Naked Goldwings. This appears to be a Faster Than Sound Model.
Congrats on an excellent addition to the Family.
