Hoping for a better outcome, how bad is the "crack?" Others here have feared cracks that were casting marks. Just checking.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I keep catching myself looking at the dual Weber IDF40 carb conversion...

It's really intimidating to undertake a modification of such measure.

Getting ready for when the frame comes back. Do I have to remove this collar and rubber seal to do the All Balls steering bearings?

I cut the lower race w/ a Dremel tool w/ small metal cutting wheel. Slow 'n easy. If you're good, you could use a grinder /w 4" blade. Slow 'n easy.
If there is one thing I have learned throughout this process it is this: Check your respirator for spiders before you put it on.

Time to start thinking about tires.

The bike currently has old, dryrotted tires on it.

The front is a 100/90-19 57H

The rear is a 120/90-18 71H

I'd like to run a 110/90-19 62V Shinko 230 up front and a 130/90-18 69V Shinko 230 in the rear.

I am assuming these should fit with no issues.

Anyone else running these sizes?
