My gl 1100 "zombie" project
So I got this bike back in the summer. It was given to me. It had set up for 15 yrs. Motor was froze up. Got it free spinning and running. Then a valve broke and knocked hole in the piston. That put a hold on everything. Now I just bought an engine and getting ready to get it on the road! Next will be working on brakes so I can stop. And windshield. Then tires.

Please don't use Plexiglas. Use Lexan. It is much stronger. Plexiglas if hit will break apart in shards and become very dangerous.ZombieRider wrote:Gonna make my own windshield. Gonna find tinted plexiglass and form and shape it!

Probably get it the same place you would go for plexiglass. Hardware store or local big box lumber yard.

Bag and tag! What year is the engine? There are a few differences, especially on the '83. Just an FYI...

Was stripping the old engine of usable parts and bolts and come across this! Stopped up oil pump screen Was worse than this before I scraped some off. Might be something to check periodically.
