On mine it didn't play the sound.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Check that you are not set on Mute on your computer, or the volume is set really low. There is sound with both clips. Again I still get nothing on my iPad , but on my laptop it plays both Videos with Sound.

When i get it tuned up good and a fan on it we'll have to get together so you can see the fruit of our (read: your) labor, the videos dont do it justice! Thanks again for the help, wouldn't have been possible without it.

Big thanks to Easter for the idea! Just did the 1800 rear master conversion/adaptation...super easy took about an hour including bleeding.

Feels good to me, but I can't compare to stock since I didn't ride it much with the original brakes.

No heat on the knee. Maybe a little if I'm walking the bike but not bad at all. It sounds even better in person!

Finally found an air filter that fit just right...hopefully its not too small and flows enough, definitely happy with how it fits.

Working on wiring the cooling fan...trying to get the microsquirt to run it based on coolant temperature, but for some reason the control isn't working right now. May end up just running a warning light to indicate when it needs to be turned on and use a manual switch.

I'll have some pictures of the fan soon, but here is the air filter

Looking good!

Btw, I'm looking into something called Dynolicious for iphone that uses the accelerometer capabilities of the iphone as an inertial dyno. Check it out! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dynolic ... 08729?mt=8

Here's how my cooling fan is setup under TunerStudio/fuel setup/spare port settings.
The relay coil is wired one side to yellow/wht (WUled) on microsquirt, and the other side of coil to 12v.
The relay switched leads are wired to the former fan thermo switch leads going to fan.
The coolant thermister table was calibrated under TunerStudio/tools for degF.

Thats interesting...

I tried using fidle, which is a switched ground, on one side/12v on the other and it does nothing. From everything Ive read that is how most do it.

I tried wled with a ground wired to opposite side but it only puts out 5-7v and isnt triggering the relay.

Im curious how it's not shorting the way yours is set up with power going to both sides of the coil.

Never mind! I tried it your way and it works fine. I thought the wled was a power since it would light an led on my gauge. I guess it is a ground as well. I just happened to pick one of the two LEDs that need a ground and not power!

Thanks!

Cool App, I downloaded it and will play with it a bit on my 4 wheel cages, since the bike is still laid up. I also have a high data rate GPS (10 Hz) recording unit. It is made by Qstarz, it comes with a windows software analysts package that you download the data off the device to. I have played a little bit, it seems to work very well. I have a 3/8 mile long paved straight and flat dead end road on the airport that is hardly ever used, that will be my short distance test track. It has no side roads and a clear view in all direction, so easy to see if someone else is on the road. I will use a section of four lane highway for my 'speed' runs, but as I will be 'running with the bulls' on those tests I am sure I will have to back off more than a few times. With great political fore-site our local civic leaders decided the only racetrack we had, in a city of well over 1,250,000 people , would better serve mankind as a land fill dump. So all the draggers, tuners, and race guy/gals have to find suitable streets. There is a local group that wants to put in a private course on private land, but are having trouble with the local county regulators getting the proper permits. I live in the county and have written letter, with no response of course. I offered to help out the group finically in their fight but was told, money is not the issue, they are well backed. I do hope they win, I would love to try the course on the bike.

OK Rant Over, sorry icb.

What is the make/model of your air cleaner? Looks like it would come very close to fitting my set up.

Cheers,

Absolutely love this build. Glad you're overcoming the need (and thought) of using a fully manual fan activation. I certainly wouldn't recommend that. Too easy to miss the light at a crucial time.

Anyway, why wouldn't you have continued to use the factory fan switch? I don't think it would have been "kludgy" to add it to your custom harness...

...or do you need the fan coming in sooner than the factory setting?
