LOL.

I bet I could use the garden sprayer pressure brake bleeder I just built with a rubber nozzle pressed against the drain hole. fill the sprayer with a determined amount, disconnect and subtract what is draining out to get to the right amount...

Right. You do lose a drop or two. But it's cheep. And I've been known to spill a drop or two when I would fill it from the top.

Maybe use the Schrader and a bicycle pump along with holding the brakes and bouncing the front end (while on center stand) to "pump" more oil out. Then, you can take a big syringe to put ATF in through the Schrader (with core removed). I'd put in about 100ml to flush and drain. It can also be put in through the drain hole using the syringe. Final fill quantity is listed in FSM. Put it all back together and add just a couple psi with bicycle pump. Ride it like that, and if you get oil leaking out of the seals, you need to rebuild them. Otherwise, by doing just this you don't miss the great riding weather right now!
Very little came out and I injected synthetic ATF down through the valve on the right and up through the drain on the left.
Aired up to 20 psi and no leaks yet after 48 hours and some pumping exercise. I could not locate 20 weight fork oil locally so I used what I had on hand.

Yeah, weather is awesome for riding in Knox county for the next two weeks. I still plan to go to the bike meeting downtown next Tuesday. I've got the fork problem figured out and am dealing with spongy brakes now.
I converted a garden sprayer pump to a pressure bleeder but it doesn't work with the rear reservoir. The top is designed to vent so I am going to attempt to pressure bleed directly to the master cylinder fill nipple.

I've got stainless lines on the front but they still have air in there and now I am trying find out how to push brake fluid through the MC or through the banjo fitting. My friend came over to help me bleed by "pump and open" and we have had some pressure, but on my second ride it was all gone and I almost got into trouble not being able to brake using both.

Thanks for all your help. I greatly appreciate it. anim-cheers1

I adapt a hose to fit the drain hole, and make it long enough to reach above the top of the forks, attach a small funnel, and let gravity do the heavy lifting. Can do it a couple of times to help clean it out. I work alone most of the time, and replacing those caps, with the fine threads, is asking for trouble.
Man, I'm glad someone else said that first, I figured I'd be ostracized if it had been me.

Just goes to show, just because you come up with an idea that works, don't ever assume you're the first with it.

Example: When I was about 12 I thought up the bow and stern side thruster to turn ships on a dime, about 20 years after it was patented.

Been doing that way for years. Even if I have the forks off of the bike. Just turn them upside down to fill
