Question about front turn signals.

#1

Post by Dane »

On my '77 GL1000 the front stock running light are very bright. When the left or right turn signal is activated the running light goes out ok but the turn signal flashes very dim.

The rear turn signals are very bright when they flash, why aren't the front turn signals as bright?

The 1157 bulb used in for turn signals normally on a car uses the brightest element for turn signal and the dimmer element for tail lights. Why don't the same bulb do the same thing on the front of a motorcycle?

I agree with Zryder, the wiring is backward.

or make sure that all the connectors are making good contact.... a corroded connector will act as if it is not connected at all, or be intermittent
