Wheels question?

#1

Post by ran429 »

OK, I am getting this gl-? within the next few days (if the bank card cooperates tomorrow) What I am wondering is if wheels from a Goldwing are interchangeable from other Honda's, Let's say a Cm400T Custom I have in my yard with Excellent tires & Wheels on it. Or are the Goldwing Wheels Proprietary to a Goldwing?

From the photos i have been seeing on the web the bike looks more like an 82-83 year bike but my memory could be wrong. He is adamant on it being an 85-GL1500

From the looking that i have done the wheel of the cb900c is a direct replacement for the goldwing 1100. The front wheel shouldn't be that big of a deal, but i know the rear is swapable (I want to put a 17in on the back of my 900).

One way to know is to look into the parts books (http://www.bikebandit.com) or pull the wheels and look. I think the com stars will fit on almost anything that has a com star.
