Shiny New Covers

#1

Post by Romanowski74 »

Picked up a complete set of covers on flea bay. Minus one the top lid. Missed out on it by a buck. Now it's off to the paint shop for a match of the lid. I still haven't added the radiator trim. Pinstripes are on the way.

Also ordered a two prong universal battery tender plug ,and a 12v lighter socket that plugs into the two prong tender outlet for charging gps/phone.

and a set of these for extra storage from time to time.

I picked up the covers on Ebay. Almost hit the lottery with every painted piece available (seperately not packaged together). But quit monitoring the auction at the end (I was busy eating bugs) and missed out on the tank lid. So now I have to have my orig. top lid paint matched which will cost more than all the new painted pieces combined I'm sure. Anyway I can't really complain got all 7 pieces for $120.00 including shipping. One of the tank sides was packaged paint side down and got nicked up in shipping so the seller credited my account. So in all 6 nearly perfect pieces for $100, one slightly damaged and one I missed out on.

The bags are from Amazon. Under $60 and shipped in two days free with Prime. According to my phone they showed up today. I'll fit them and post pics.

Easy.

5 minutes to mount.

Capacity: 4 gallons of milk + room for some extra stuff around the edges.

Nice side pockets and top pockets as well. Zippers seem large and stout. Easy on and off. So far so good.
