I can't seem to find a new replacement online.
Seems everyone sells them for the '76 & '77.
Looks like the electrical connection locking tab on the "Emgo 40-15820" is different, but everything else seems the same.
Anyone have luck finding one for the '75, or made the later model work?

Bring it when you pick up the frame, and we'll make one work keyed the same as your other locks (as long as the 5 number key code starts with 7, 8, 9, or 0.)

Re: Ignition switch for a '75
I tried the switch from one of my '79s.
No sparks and I didn't blow up my shop!!!
It is a 6-terminal style but has the same clip as the Emgo, which I ordered from Amazon. Less then $14!
The '75 only has 5 terminals, so the extra on the later models must be for the accessory key position.

Yes, it is for the accessory position. Also some wires have to be moved as the pinout on the two types are not the same.wog wrote:The '75 only has 5 terminals, so the extra on the later models must be for the accessory key position.

This, of course, will make you one of them 'damn' PO's.

Thanks for the links. I won't change any wires as the Emgo switch should be later next week.roncar wrote: This, of course, will make you one of them 'damn' PO's.
Haven't changed the belts, etc yet so I didn't try to crank it, just lights and horn.
Note to member Lucien Harpress, still can't get the air horns to work. But they're still yours when I remove 'em.
Don't worry too much about me becoming a PO, as I never seem to sell any bikes!
