Parts list help please

#1

Post by wildbill1962 »

Okay. You guys talked me into replacing the leaky head gasket on my 83 GL1100.

Can someone give me a complete parts list and best place to purchase ?

I have read that some of the gasket set don't have all the seals, orings, etcetera

Thanks
Bill

Here is a picture of the parts included (the ones with the dots to the left) with the vesrah kit i just used. After some research it seemed like a popular, high quality kit. I left the cams attached so didn't need it all of it, but nice to have in the parts bin.

All you really need is head gasket, the oil orifice o ring, o rings for the water tubes, carb runners and maybe the gasket for the water pipe elbow on top. Seals for the cams if they are leaky. And do both sides, you will be confident and happy. And get OEM, you will be confident and happy. I used Western Honda for parts, use what ever OEM source you like.
