79 u joint lubrication?

79 u joint lubrication?
Recently bought a79 wing. Is there a way to grease the u joint? Thanks in advance!

No. The U joint is a sealed unit

But the splines of the shaft should be greased occasionally. Generally most folks do it when they do tire changes. The book calls for a MolyB grease.

I lube my u-joint every couple years by immersing it in 90wt oil in a Vacuum chamber and sucking the air out, then leave it in the oil for a few days to let air pressure force the oil in.

the good news is that honda beefed up the u-joints as the 1000 series progressed and you have one of the better ones

has anyone "road tested" the Freight shaker steering u joint to see if it stands up to the high rpm?
