Post by uther9110j »

So its time for some new rubber on my wing. However the interwebs have given my mixed signals regarding these particular rims. can one safely run tubeless tires on the 79 comstars? some say yes some say no. id like to know for sure, as im sure you all understand. Thank you for your time!

The book says they require tubes. The rims should have a stamp on them "Tube required". Many of us run without. That I know of no one has every had an issue.

Your decision and your risk.

I run a BT45 on the back of my 75 with a 16 inch Lester. Good tire. I know Cyborg ran those exclusively for a long time and liked them a lot. Not the best for long mileage but great grip and performance.
