Throttle cable help. How do you fit them?
I have looked all over the place but can't find any help on how to fit the two cable system! Does anyone have a tutorial or any advice on how to fit them?
Thanks in advance

Re: Throttle cable help. How do you fit them?
Not real sure what you specifically need to know or mean.
Remove the false tank and route them down the left frame rail to the carbs.
As an alternative method, you can remove cables at either end tape the new ones end to end and pull them through, connect and adjust.
Just know it will make it very difficult to connect and adjust cables with false tank in place.
Make sure throttle snaps back closed after installation and adjustment with bars turned full right and full left.

You should add the year of your bike and model if different in your signature. It will get you faster answers.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Jimmy, You were right to ask. Like me, if I had simply routed the replacement throttle cables a PO had done, they would not have worked as smoothly.

I'm about to do my throttle cables on a 82 Goldwing interstate. What I've read so far it looks like a big job.

couple hours probably. Takes a bit of patience. Proper Routing is pretty critical so make sure to snap a bunch of pics or somehow document how it is when you start.

Hemostats (medium and large - Harbor Freight has them). Are a great aid in installing such cables.
