I think the parts just soaking in the CLR would have done the same thing. An ultrasonic cleaner is more than just vibrating the parts. At least in the video he does call it a parts vibrator.

Some on here have done similar to his setup. It works ok.

:lol: You may want to watch some more of his videos. Although he is a very knowledgeable motorcycle mechanic, he a has very long list of "helpful" videos that are more tongue in cheek than they first appear. I've followed him for some time and he has targeted just about every topic that has been covered on this and other forums about motorcycle restoration. I liked his epoxy tape and standard installation tape.....

Just thought you guys would like the video and perhaps even try it ....

If you follow his videos, you'll find that he has assigned new names to just about every common item. Until watching, I wasn't aware that different color zip ties are rated at different strengths. :IDTS: :lol:
