Get a 1200 from an 85-87 and drop it into your 76. Pretty easy swap.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

16" rear wheel gives a little bit lower gear.
I've had a Lester 16" on the rear of 76 with Watsonian for +37 years.

As you may have figured out, the G.E.M gear set that you are looking for is getting pretty rare. As some have said, putting a 16" Lester rim on will help, and pulling the 1000 out of the bike and replacing it with a 1200 is also a valid thing to do. That is a pretty easy swap, and That modification will give you an awesome first gear (provided you kept the 1000 rear end), although you will turn a little higher RPM at highway speed. Bit more power never hurts!
