I have bought the 2.8mm connecter sets from this supplier in the UK.
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/autostarshop/
They can supply them in any common colour white, red, yellow, black, green which is useful if you are trying to keep things original looking.
They are good quality too. They also supply non adhesive tape for loom making and other bits.
They also do the bullet connecters with the clear shrouds like the OEM ones.

You need this type of crimp tool to make off these connections properly.
They are not cheap, but they will make a connection very similar to the original on your bike.

Your Motorcycle will also have a few of these 3.9mm, the crimp tool above will also do these.

Just to say that I have no connections whatsoever to Autostar I just bought the connecters from them.
The images above I simply lifted from their ebay shop, just for illustration.
I got the crimp tool elsewhere, I cannot remember where.

tks Liam.
Right now I am only tying the saddle bag signal lights into the original wiring harness..so I'm going to need to change the single "bullet" connector to a double...be it male or female.
I haven't gone over the complete wiring harness on the 76 but everything works and it's been naked it's entire life so the harness hasn't been butchered.

Hear you on the electrical harness not being butchered. Resurrecting my second '85 LTD at my brother's place in northern Ontario and it is stock from the factory. Only add-on is the windscreen wings. No extra lights, no electronic connections such as a cigarette lighter receptacle, nothing, not even a battery tender connector. It's interesting to see what a bike of this age that has extras started as such as my other '85 LTD in Victoria.

The lower fairings are off because I'm working on the TPS and the exhaust system.
