My feeling it is definitely a 78 or 79. Aside from the shelter, comstars, exhaust, and shocks, the rear fender/taillight/turn indicators are definitely 79/79 kit, and I agree that the exhaust is not from a pre-78 bike either. Agree it is not a stock color either. When I had mine painted, I had the painter prime the inner panels and shoot them in matte black. I have never heard of Honda doing anything with flames in a stock paint. That said, the paint looks tastefully done. Corbin seat looks nice. If you are looking for a true "stock" bike, this isn't it, but I would be happy to park this one in my garage.

79 had the rectangular front brake master cylinder and the rectangular turn signals and that butt ugly cbx style brake light. Like I said earlier unless someone did a lot to deceive this is a 78 model. Exhaust is a 78/79 style with a paint job.

first glance i thought they were early muffs, but no. very nice touch thou! nice seat and color seems to tie it together. but no trip to Ireland for me!
