As a footnote tho the conversation, I have started putting the bike back together. The left head is on and I mounted the right head this afternoon. I noticed that the neutral wire was loose and had to unbolt the engine from the frame to get the neutral sensor screw back in place. That is one poor design by Mother Honda on these bikes.
Once again, thank you everyone who contributed to this request for help. Much appreciated.

I'd have to believe you intend to perform after-repair cylinder compression testing, to compare to the first set of cylinder compression testing results? Please post the before and after compression test pressure results here, please.
Thanks!

Really? That is a 40+ year-old bike, and this is probably the first time it has been apart. I'd say the bike is an excellent design. You forgot to hook it up before install. Not Honda's design fault.
That is not the case. When I bought the bike 20 years ago it came in pieces with the motor sitting outside the frame. Two years ago, I had the engine out of the frame to replace the stator. At that same time I also replaced the neutral switch. This time, the neutral wire pulled away from its brass connector at the switch when i removed the head. With the engine still sitting in the frame, it is a very difficult job to re-attached the screw that connects the neutral wire to the switch. Yes, this bike was a phenomenal piece of engineering in the mid-70's. However, to put the switch where they did, is a bear to re-do.

Yes, I will re-post the after repair cylinder compression results after I get the bike running again.
I was just made aware of this Honda Service Bulletin resetting the head torque values from those called out in the Honda Service Manual(38-41 ft lbs) to 42-45 ft lbs. I wanted to thank Steve Seaman’s for sharing this information with me.
