cyborg, perhaps you can help me with wiring. not sure if the manual would help, but a diagram of the wiring would suffice.

Did you just cut the connector off and connect the wires to wherever the diagram said? I am surprised that no one can point me to a thread in which someone details the wiring. I guess that means I am in somewhat unfamiliar territory. 86 wiring diagram anyone?

Just tried sending a diagram to your email. Lmk if you can see it.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Can't help you with pictures or links. Computers are not my thing. and I did mine many years ago. but it really is plug and play.

Got the diagram! Looks deceptively straightforward.

I'll go ahead and purchase a cdi igniter. Looks like two wires go to gear selector, then 4 to the coils, then the vacuum line to the carbs.

The OEM fuel pump relay triggers off the blue/yellow and the electronic tach off the yellow/blue. Or vice-versa, doesn't matter.

Honestly, I don't think that I have the fuel pump relay, and positive that I don't have the electronic tachometer. I do have the oem fuel pump, which I will use, but everything else including all wiring is from a 76.

I have an 85 1200 Apsencade that I haven't worked on yet so I'm not sure but I noticed in one of my pics on my phone that there is something mounted on that hole and the intake manifold tube to the carb sits on top of that. I looked in the parts diagram and can see the hole but not what goes there.

Kinda off topic... what is the reason you are wanting to put a 1200 in a 1000 frame other than the obvious? Why not build the 1200 to your liking? Seems like a popular swap

Part of the “afterburner” for the turbinator so the flux capacitor doesn’t get too hot.

There are o-ringed tubes which fit there.
To use it you need the 1200 carbs and intakes. Guys who disable it plug the hole with JB and whatever. I bought four freeze plugs close to size and used JB to seal. The hole leads down to a port in the exhaust. Each hole goes up to a collector under the base of the plenum. I never looked into what it actually does. Probably adds air to pass emissions testing??? Another option is using the tubes/hoses and plugging the plenum end.

I am running 76 carbs, so would I need to do anything to those holes (really)?
