Weber IDF manifolds
Good Afternoon
I am wanting to install the twin idf setup and have the carbs for the job. Randakks do not have any stock of the manifolds and have not replied to my emails asking about future availability. Any other suggestions? I would be more than happy to buy them from Randakk as I see the value in them but am keen to get the project started. Anyone else make them or have suggestions on what to do?
Thanks in advance

That happens a lot since the new owners took over.Olyclo wrote:Good Afternoon

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
Too bad someone doesn't 3D print a set of nice ones.

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
Really don’t know what to do now, my whole project was based on the idf conversion. The Randakks kit came with all the tried and tested carb settings etc gutted!
Anyone else in the same situation? A 3D printed set would be perfect!

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
If you have access to a 3D printer, I could probably help you out with a sample to make a set out of.

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
Unfortunately no access to a 3D printer, plus I’m in Ireland so postage is always a problem! Really appreciate the offer however.
I’m going to have to get someone local to fabricate them for me, just wish I had more info on them (dimensions etc)
Nothing is ever easy!!!

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
Randall sold a set of the prototype manifolds he used for the patterns. They were especially nice. I'd begin making the top plates from a Weber gasket and then make a gasket pattern off the head to cut out the bottom plates, then tubing to connect shouldn't be too big a problem. I think linkage pics are here somewhere. You could probably scale the height from a good photo.
Edit, Randakks ad is on here, sold quite a while ago.

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
I think someone here posted that Randall’s manifolds used tapered tubing. A little more complex and probably a little better than just straight tubing. Probably why they cost a fair amount too.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
I sent an email to Randaaks today asking about the manifolds. I received an answer that they wrere hoping to have them back in stock in 7 to 10 business days. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

Re: Weber IDF manifolds
If they don’t stay true to their word, another member on here fitted a set of VMAX 1200 downdraft carbs on his ‘Wing. Could use pods or the K&N oval filters with that setup. Not the same as the Webers, but you get the filters on either side of the bike.
