I thought I liked the TourMasters on my '83 until I tried Kenda K673 Kruz tires. The Kruz front has a triangular cross section so it leans over like a narrower tire but puts more of the tire on the road when leaned.
Unfortunately, what made them handle well on 2 wheels made them really bad on 3 so I had t change to something else when I added the sidecar.

Yes you get what you pay for with some ocassional exceptions. While the Shinko’s are a decent tire, they are not up to the more expensive ones I have run before. I normally buy higher end tires for my bikes, yet I was finding that I usually date coded them out before I wear them out. Having MBS and rotating through every bike equally ends up with only 2-3 K per year on each bike.
I thought I would try a more economical option this time around to see if the Shinko Tourmaster 230 tires were as good as the reviews noted on the websites.
