Looking for 76 Limited seat pic

#1

Post by flyday58 »

My LTD came with a seat that looks like it could support a sumo wrestler, but I found an original 75 takeoff on ebay and bought that. At some point I would like to find a correct LTD seat. This thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44919&p=467577&hilit=seat#p467577 indicates this is what I'll need. Look right?

As far as comfort goes, the 75 is fine for me so not concerned about that. This is what I have now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273702579679
Thanks for the info.

Yes that looks good.

I do think (careful there boy) that the seat is the same as a 77.

This one https://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-GL-1000- ... 2688118965 has four bars behind the strap; LTD pic has five bars, the 75 has nine. I don't think I've seen an oem seat with just the four bars but I'm new to the NGW world.

Well, a quick search turned up some seats with four and even three bars behind the strap. I won't mind paying the money (to a point) for a correct seat but I want to be sure what to look for. Seems like five bars behind and eight ahead of the strap is the oem deal.

I have a 76 LTD and have found the stock seat to be very uncomfortable on any rides over 30 min. The LTD seat has a upturn in the middle of the seat that, for my frame size, makes it feel like im sitting on a ramp that is pitched forward. Gets tiring. I just bought a stock GL 76 seat and will swap it out after I recover it. Hopefully it will solve the sore rearend syndrome. The LTD seats seem to be more available than the regular seats. Perhaps other people have the same problem with the feel of the seat.
