GL decals/emblems - chinese fingers

Hi All - the above are attached with round chinese finger gizmos on the posts. Any easy way to remove these?..thxs kenai

Very small flat bladed screwdriver to carefully bend up one or two of the metal tangs away from the plastic posts. You can break off the post if your not careful with the prying job. The metal tangs are still available new from Honda, or by bending the tangs back down when they are off the post they can be reused again.

Chances are extremely good that the post will break if you put any stress on it. The plastic gets soft as it ages.

And IIRC, they were an American invention, not to mention that the bike is Japanese, not Chinese.

In the past I have broken the pins off to remove the logos and then drilled the logos to accept small oval head bolts. If you aren't constrained by using the original holes you can drill the holes in the middle of the O and A and use black bolts and they will look like they are supposed to be like that.

You could also use a quality 2 sided tape (I believe 3m produces one specifically intended for emblems).

Or you could do what I did and have a sign guy make up some peel & stick logos to replace the 3 dimensional ones.
