This is the reserve screen after the seal was applied. Still haven't put the tank back in so I'm not worried about kreem curing. Looks like there is some blockage but I was going to run with it and see how it goes. What do you guys think? A quick glance at the main screen has me thinking it's not quite as blocked as what you see here.

the screens are what I call "rust tents" . Pull then out; or else you'll have a pocket of rust that you really can't get at.

I've read that some shops remove the screens before coating. When I did mine, I not only used compressed air through the lines, but also blew the screens open from the top before the coating fully set. Just my opinion, but from the pic the screen doesn't look terribly clogged, and as the tank is now coated, there really shouldn't be any debris of sufficient size to cause clogging in the future...

Yep took a tank to a shop years ago and the first thing he did was rip out the screens with a crow bar. Been running that way for over a decade.

Afterall, there is a fuel filter near the carbs and best if you give it something to do.

My reserve screen on the Hunley was so rusted under the Kreem that I grabbed it with long pliers and ripped it out. Replaced it with a pickup sock from a Volkswagon. Putting that on was lots of fun. I think I'm qualified for arthroscopic surgery now.

Personal opinion, I have no idea why those screens are in there. The holes in them are too large to stop anything that is likely to be a problem and you have two filters downstream to take care of the tiny stuff. Rip the darned things out and have done with it.

I think they are to prevent flakes, etc from plugging the tank internal pipes.
