driveshaft removal

Parting out the 81 and trying to get the driveshaft out of the swing arm. I'm getting the impression there is another circle clip on the final drive end. Any words of wisdom?

Yes. You are correct. An external retaining snap ring. Buried in whatever grease may be in the female coupler cavity.

May be the same part number as the GL1000 utilizes on both ends of its propeller shaft, too.
