Randakks sells points for about 7 USD a pop. not OEM but has the extra ground strap. I just got a set in but have not tried them yet.

If I could have got decent points that cheap I might not have bought the Dyna-S (although I might have so that I wouldn't have to adjust points again). Their condensers are a bit high priced, though...

And Yes, I did take a look at the website, and it Does seem interesting, I'm just not ready for a graduate course in electrical components just yet; I just want to get this bike on the road.

I seriously do not know why all of a sudden I got great reading across my spark wires; it's rather freaky - why wouldn't it do it on the bench? Maybe the motorcycle gods smiled on me...and I checked it several times!

It is actually a beginner's course. And maybe if you understood it you might be able to figure out why you suddenly were able to measure the coils.....
