The infamous left side cover
Short of craigslist or ebay($$$$) anyone know where to find a 75-77 left side cover? I assume these are in the most demand due to battery access and people breaking the tabs to get in there. I havent been able to find any repop ones either.

I would post your request in the "wanted" section down near the bottom it might get more replies there. Just a thought.

Bikers Best is a place I would love to visit. They seem to have a lot of stuff, but their prices are high. I have tried a few times to buy stuff from them but it was always way less expensive to buy from the USA.

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone with a 3D printer.

Broken tabs are easily repaired with ABS cement. Take the initiative NOW to lanyard your left side covers!

Re: The infamous left side cover
i still have the cover and have fabbed some tabs to keep it on there. i would prefer for this restoration to have an intact one tho. i guess im surprised that there isnt a workaround, just you have to find a survivor cover. or pay over $100 for one.

Well, after reading your post I thought “how hard can it be?” Well ! Let me tell you as you already know they are pure unobtainium ! I was totally surprised ! If you indeed really want one the used one above is probably your best option. Guess I’m gonna have to carefully wrap my spare up and hide it away unless you’re gonna send me a bunch of $$$ to part with it, I will keep my eye’s open for you !

Re: The infamous left side cover
Right?! I talked to my tech savvy son about 3D printing one but the problem is I only have a complete right side to mock up. Honestly I don’t know why someone hasn’t molded these for aftermarket sale.redglbx wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:17 pm Well, after reading your post I thought “how hard can it be?” Well ! Re: The infamous left side cover
Sick, yep with the Chinese getting into all this kind of stuff I’m just amazed that someone hasn’t come up with a “cheap” replacement. The quantity of right side covers available is amazing and being that there should be a left for each of those says there “should” be more than a few available. Guess I’d be scouring the bike wrecking yards hard. But this appears to be a real business opportunity, but as we old wingers tend to be cheap azz’ s they’d have to be inexpensive.
