Hello everyone, the metal particles found in the oil are attached to the magnet, in the oil there are very small parts in suspension that give the oil a metallic paint color, and heavier parts that have deposited on the bottom of the basin, and these immediately attached themselves to the magnet.

Paola, this is not good ! Time to look for a new final drive/differential/rear-end/pumpkin/thingy with the spinning gears 😁, also you really need to inspect the drive shaft and splines.

The KZ was the very last of the 79 GL1000 (hence the Z as the last letter of the alphabet) which the US didn't get.

In Europe the 75 GL1000 was called a K0 the 76 was K1, 77 was K2, and 78 was K3. I think the KZ became used because the 79 model which would have been K4 did not come to Europe as there was a large stock of 78 models left unsold.
