Thats what i was thinking. The tire just threw me because it does say "tubeless" on the side. But with the spokes there would be no way to hold the air in if it didnt have a tube. I need to make sure i have more coffee before i start posting questions next time. haha

You can use a tubeless tire on a tube type rim as long as you use an inner tube.
Spoke ends can be sealed but unless the rim has the proper groove machined in to hold tubeless tires in place it isn't safe without a tube anyway.

Or learn to do it yourself. It isn't that hard with a homemade bead breaker, some long levers and a bottle of bead lube and you know it was done right (I've heard of so-called "pros" using dish liquid on Honda alloy rims and putting tires on backwards).

Tubeless - he won't need a bead breaker, just good spoons.

You need a bead breaker more with tubeless tires than tube type. The sidewalls of a tubeless tire has to be stiffer because it doesn't have the tube to support it. Believe me, I have changed enough of both types over the years and my home made bead breaker makes it a lot easier

I just place the tire under the trailer hitch on my truck position the base of a bottle jack at the bead and using the weight of the pickup I just pump the jack and viola the bead breaks.

Sorry, I miss-typed. I meant to say tubed tires don't need a bead breaker - just good spoons. Even tubeless tires if on tubed rims may have a bit stiffer sidewalls, but should spoon off.

It's easier to get the levers in if you push the bead off its seat first.

I don't know if it's true, but I've come across the concept that tubeless tires have a bead diameter just a skosh smaller than tubeless, to make them seal better, or to keep them on the seat when pressure is low. Be pretty hard to prove, though.

I don't know about that but here's what I do know: The beads of tube type tires are held firmly against the rim by the inner tube; Tubeless tires don't have that so they need a bit of help from stiffer beads and safety ridges that help keep the beads on the rim if the tire deflates.
In addition to the ridges shown in the pic below, wheels suitable for tubeless tires are almost always marked "Suitable for Tubeless Tires".

Re the ridges, after I found that pic online I looked at the wheels I have on hand and it is really easy to tell the difference when you know what to look for...
