Anybody know what this is, and where it goes...? I think it dropped off the carb when I took it out, but I can't find anything Missing, and I can't see it in the parts diagram...

that looks like a shock bushing to me.

No, it's a hard plastic, like bakelite or something; the rolled edges make me think it's meant to roll on something...this dropped out from Somewhere when I pulled the carbs on my '78 GL1000...I had something similar drop out of the '75 carb when I was working on It.

I have no idea then. lol I don't remember seeing anything like that when I did the carbs on my 76.

Yeah, it's weird - a fetzer-valve spacer, maybe...?

An armature for the blinker-fluid roller...??

An IUD for the carburetor gremlins...???

I guess if it's important I'll find out soon enough... :lol:
