Fuel Sender- Sealant Recommendations?

#1

Post by Lucien Harpress »

I'd wondered why the fuel gauge sender on my GL1000 tank tended to leak a bit, and I figured it was the rubber gasket. So I replaced in. Lo and behold, while nice to have, it didn't solve the leak. Turns out (on closer inspection), quite a bit of the sealant on the top of the unit, between the two spade terminals, had broken off due to age. Sealing it back up seems pretty straightforward, but does anyone have any preferences as far as fuel-proof sealant goes? While this is an easy job, I also only like to do it once.

Thanks!
