I've looked at those. the gentleman I bought my interstate bags from had their system on his 1000. he didn't start it but he said they have a nice sound.
If I go with harley take off's I'll need headers as I don't want to cut up the original system as it's in good shape.
Something to ponder this winter

I have no personal experience but have read where 1000 headers can be used on an 1100. IMHO the ones off a 78 or 79 have a bit more upsweep to them and work well but may not be the best choice if you are keeping the bagger setup. Maybe modify a system off an 1100 that may not be in great cosmetic shape and that you are willing to sacrifice to get some headers? I am currently refurbing a 78 Suzuki GS850 that also has mufflers that are integral to the exhaust system. I cut the perforated mufflers off and a local welder attached adapters to the oem headers and I put HD sporty mufflers on it. They sound and look very nice. The welder did a gr8 job for 40 Bux. Just my 2 pennies worth

I got a set of FXSB slip ons off of eBay for $40 and they sound great! Bolted them right up. Had to use about 5” of flex pipe to get them into the smoothest position off the headers and make a custom bracket but they tuck right up tight. You deff will have to shim and copper seal the joints if you don’t want to weld.
