Jet dimensions

#1

Post by ericheath »

I am looking at buying some new jets from JetsRUs. They are reportedly a good quality supplier. I have never seen the actual dimensions of the jets for gl1000. Does anyone know of a source for diameter and length of the jets?

They sell what appears to be the right Keihin jets in the correct jet sizes. I just want to be sure the lengths and diameters are correct.

They list a 120 main as being 9.6 mm in length and 6.0 mm in diameter.

The 62 primary is listed as 9.4 mm in length and 4.95 mm in diameter.

I don’t have quality calipers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I need to get back on two wheels.

I have bought some from them. IIRC, their webpage shows pictures of the various types, so I just carefully inspected mine and compared to make sure I was ordering the right ones. There aren't THAT many different styles of Keihin jets.

I'd bet that if you told them the bike it goes in, they would lead you to the right ones.

For the 1000 models there are only two jets they list which have an o-ring on them. You can select a variety of jet sizes. I’m pretty sure they’re right, but they do request that you measure yours prior to ordering. Thanks for the opines anyway.
