Yeah, me too - but as I thought, he was going for cash rather than honor his original posting. Very bad sportsmanship, if you ask me. Hey, I still got my $50 Puch 250 consolation prize! dancr Leaves me more cash for the holidays anyway.

So if somebody shows up on the forum here with a nice '76 Sulfur Yellow GL1000, I'd be very interested to see how much he got shaken down...I mean, paid for it!

Too bad and yes there is no honour among thieves it seems. :IDTS: It's time to walk away is my motto.
Best one for me was the for sale ad and then the response to me "it seems I under priced it" based on the multiple responses to my ad, so now I am taking blind bids for the bike.

Like they say just like buses, there is always another one that will come along. That Puch looks like a really interesting bike and project. Glad the see and learn more about that brand and the work you have done on them.

My latest favorite mostly happens on Facebook Marketplace, but the seller lists the price as "Free" in the title, but then adds an (normally ridiculously high) ACTUAL price hidden in the ad itself. Trying to pull one over on me before I even get a chance to contact you? Yeah, no thanks.

Life's too short to play games. There WILL be others.
1997 Valkyrie- Light Cutomization, but Too Busy Riding
1980 KZ1300- Bike's Haunted
1976 GL1000 (Yellow)- It Runs (Poorly) and Doesn't Leak (Mostly)
1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking
1972 CB750- Broke the Chain And Ate the Motor
1969 CT90- The Most Fun You Can Have on 90ccs.
1965 CA77 Dream- Needs a Full Teardown, but Complete

All advice I give is only valid until an expert corrects me.

Yes, you're right. There always is. Reminds me of Yoda saying "No - there is another".

And Yes, the Puch is cool; you don't see them very often, and parts are available, so why not, as time permits...I'm really thinking I'm going to do a frame-up as best I can; new paint, etc. I'm still putting the '78 GL 1000 back together too, so all that should keep me out of the bars, so to speak. ;)

Just a Heads-Up - this shady guy is now running a Raleigh NC CL ad in the Parts section for a RED '76 GL1000 for $495...I love how he leaves room in there for slop.

$495?? Who advertises something for '$495'...??
