Taking it to the limit
Came up on Marketplace near me. Not sure what's been gained here over just getting a convertible.

I've seen a pic of one of those before. It is the result of adding both a regular (rear) trike kit and a tadpole trike kit to the same bike (IIRC, the pic was in an advertisement for someone selling the kits).
In Ontario that would be illegal (& probably where you are too). Any road going vehicle with 4 wheels is considered an automobile and is required to have all of the required safety features like side collision posts and seat belts.
I read once that Bombardier originally planned to make a road going ATV until their legal department pointed out that it would not be legal in most places without all that car stuff so they dropped one rear wheel and designed a road going snowmobile instead.

saw one with the front system a couple years back. Talked to the rider for quite a bit. He said it was made by Endeavor trikes in Mn. He was very pleased with it.

In this state, if a vehicle has fewer than 4 wheels, it's classed as a motorcycle. It PROBABLY would keep its motorcycle categorization, since it started out as one and there are no inspections here.
He was asking north of $30K. I bought a much older BMW Z3 last summer and have just about got it done to spec, at about $8K all-in. I bought that after my summer trip last year, where I ran into some huge storms in which I had to raise my visor to see the dashboard. Windshield wipers are nice.
