Can die now. Have seen it all. Mother of all GL1100's

Went to pick up some Valkyrie bling from a fellow today. I tell you he should be featured on American Pickers. Fun guy. I ended up hanging around in the heat for almost two hours. Crazy wrench. Every imaginable project in all stages of <de>construction. One in particular caught my eye.

An '82 GL1100. I'll let the pics speak for themselves:

- Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass. It's about learning to ride in the rain.

I'm fairly certain that that rear tire is of a similar size to those used on the Batpod for the Christopher Nolan Batman films (Dark Knight, Dark Knight Rises), because I think Hoosier is the only company to make them that big. Big money right there.

(Yeah, I've dabbled with building my own Batpod. What of it? ;) )

You know? The bike may be ugly, but I can't fault his creativity. Better than anything I can come up with.
1997 Valkyrie- Light Cutomization, but Too Busy Riding
1980 KZ1300- Bike's Haunted
1976 GL1000 (Yellow)- It Runs (Poorly) and Doesn't Leak (Mostly)
1974 Velosolex 3800- Better Than Walking
1972 CB750- Broke the Chain And Ate the Motor
1969 CT90- The Most Fun You Can Have on 90ccs.
1965 CA77 Dream- Needs a Full Teardown, but Complete

All advice I give is only valid until an expert corrects me.

...and now I can let the cat out of the bag. There's a normal GL rear swingarm and tire under there. The Hoosier meat is just for decoration. He built it just to take to shows and park.

I was wondering where the final drive was and the swing arm. Not finding an indication of how the rotating power could get to the center of that wheel I was agast. So I guess I wasn't fooled. Still I was a wondering what if somone knew sompin I didn't (an all too likely scenerio). lolol
