Pictures of different exhaust types
Hey All,
I have a buddy that bought the 82 1100 from me. He likes the bike, but would like a little different exhaust.
I have seen many pictures of different exhaust, but trying to search for them all gets a little tricky. I wonder if we could add to this thread different types of exhaust for our bikes. Kind of a one stop shop for those looking at putting something different on.
So, would everyone with non stock exhaust help out?

Re: Pictures of different exhaust types
Big stock HD mufflers from Ultra-Mega-Glides. These only work with bags as they look like rocket launchers due to their size.

Harley Fat Boy stock mufflers. A littler larger than Sportsters.

Re: Pictures of different exhaust types
I really like the Emgo mufflers I stumbled across. I think they're the "Tapered Shorty" mufflers they show in their catalog here: http://www.emgo.com/images/pdf/2016%20Muffler.pdf
They're deep at idle, but when you wind it out, it's got a high-pitched wail...not unlike a big sportbike. I quite like them. Cheap too.

Re: Pictures of different exhaust types
SGWilly, I have a set of those kicking around that I thought were too long, but under the bags they look nice. I guess I need a set of bags.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: Pictures of different exhaust types
Eric, the key is to get them tucked up parallel to the bottom of the bag. Here's how I did it. https://www.ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20#p180920

Re: Pictures of different exhaust types
Mac headers and pipes. Nice fit and the chrome is great. But Beware - you must pack the mufflers with stainless steel exhaust grade packing. Otherwise, they are just too freaking loud!

Not my bike but this is the system I'm going to install. I'm planning on changing the angle though to something more parallel with the ground.
