Pistol Pete & GL1000 S/N 1000040

#1

Post by scootsx2 »

Pete Boody was at the VJMC National Rally in Pigeon Forge last night with GL1000 S/N 1000040. Apparently the plan was to have S/N 1000002 on display but according to Mr. Boody, there was a transport issue. Murphy must have been lurking
in the shadows. If I recall correctly, I think he stated that the engine was S/N 29.

VJMC had to protect the floors of the conference center... just in case. A couple of the bikes did have minor incontinence, just like vintage people.

I think the scratches from putting it up on the center stand would have been worse than any leaks.

thee is carpet under the center stand. I'm betting it was a matter of 2 people picking the back end up and dropping the stand down..

Pistol Pete Boody was also at Mid-Ohio this past weekend with a 1974 prototype Goldwing. WOW! I also got to meet some other club members as well.

I got to see that proto type at last year's wing ding in Huntsville AL. It really is a sight.
