The "B" word, as in Battery.

I changed the title as I did not realize it appeared to be something else...so sorry my oversight. It should have been obvious.

Occasionally there are postings that mix reality with hearsay on the topic of BATTERIES on this site.
Having "attended" battery university via a book called "BATTERIES IN A PORTABLE WORLD, some years ago when I was working in a research environment on Hybrid military equipment, I can say that I learned a great deal that helped me perform my duties. I highly recommend the site or the book they sell on the subject matter. It's written for the lay person but can get fairly advanced if you want to delve deeper. The book starts out with common sense and builds into more advanced topics. The site is almost exactly like the book and covers common myths and just about any chemistry primary and secondary batteries. There is an extensive section on Absorptive Glass Mat (AGM), batteries which are lead acid chemistry. And I note they are popular here.

Very good technical information without "personal" testimonials which are the bane of research scientists and engineers existence.

Enjoy, it's a great read if you are a techie. :-D
Or if you want a good laugh you can read about my KlutchKapaids!

Wow! You know, that's a very good website. Thanks for the link. Of course you know you'll be costing me considerable time spent there!
