Crash Bars

#1

Post by OldRider2 »

These crash bars came off my 1982 GL1100 and I was thinking of using them on my 77 GL1000. Can anyone tell me what connected to the small post with the hole in it on each of these above? I'm assuming another piece that bolted to something else but not sure. I've looked at the pics of my 1100 and it didn't come with any other pieces for these. I don't know what brand they are but are still in pretty good shape. Thanks.

Those went to a third bar that would go down and bolt on at the long engine mount bolt under the heads.

Thanks Robin. I guess I need to try and find the two missing arms on eBay or here. Do you know what brand they may have been?

Thanks Graham. That looks like it is the other piece(s) to mine. I think they were made by K & G which made Bags, trunks, and sissy bars/padded back rests, etc for at least some of our wings.
