Dorsal Yap Foil
Not sure if this is widely available, but have been considering covering the downpipes with 'Dorsal Yap Foil'. Apparently it is very easy to mould to any shape and very hardwearing, doesn't discolour but will not only protect the pipes, but (hopefully) enhance the look.
