That's it?
was there a commemorative certificate or anything issued with the bike?
Chrome kickstart mechanism on the back of the engine.
Chrome cover over the clutch actuator linkage.
Lot's of chrome bolts on the engine.
Chrome on the ignition where you put the key in.
Chrome latch assembly for the faux cover lid.
Gauges had black faces.
Chrome spring on the center stand.
Chrome radiator cap.
Chrome brackets/hangers on the muffler.
Chrome brackets on the passenger pegs.
Chrome linkage on the carbs.
Seat was different from other 76's, same that they used on the 77.
Of course the serial numbers on the frame, engine, final drive, and numbers on the carbs.

There was a letter, I think sent to, maybe when bike was picked up, for each new owner. Those are probably the hardest things to find.

And I may have missed some things too.

Chrome petcock
Chrome triangular engine mounts
Leather bound Owners Manual
although, oddly, the tools in the tool kit were not chrome on the AU delivered models.the pouch was leather though.
all in all, a very special package. in my opinion.

75 and 76 standard were black. LTD's I think were the first to have the chrome. Then starting in 77 all models had the chrome

Everyone has hit the obvious visual differences on the LTD, but no one has even mentioned a balanced and blueprinted engine. If not mistaken , the only engine that Ma Honda has ever balanced and blueprinted! The smoothness of my LTD is as evident as the sun in the sky! All my GL1000s are great to ride, but that LTD is much more quiet and smooth; at idle, at mid range, and tached up! You could blindfold me, and I could tell the difference! Anybody else FEEL the difference!!

Are there any documented specs to the engines balancing and blueprinting out there?
I'd like to see what they did to make it better than a "regular" gl1000 engine.

i do feel the difference. they are somehow.... better... than my 75.
but i have not been able to find any concrete proof that the engines were balanced/blueprinted.
i would have thought that if they were , Honda would have used that as a marketing tool.

I also have heard that claim but never seen any documentation of such.
