I'm 6'2" tall and 285 lbs. But I can move like a cat!
I think that the Corbin seat I installed is somewhat lower than the factory seat. So with the side case size, and the top case size, I'm kind of nestled in there a bit so I don't stand out as much. That probably sounds like I care. Not really. I just love to ride.
On a long ride my legs can get stiff after a while on the pegs. The highway pegs work well as an alternative, but could be a bit better if they were further away so I could stretch my legs more. I often just lay the back of my leg on them and stretch out.
I think with my bikes 360 lb. GVWR, and my weight, and my fairing and bags with a few things inside, it's probably just as well that I like riding solo.

Um... GVWR of a 1000 is 1010Lb. That's the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - the highest recommended total for the vehicle including operator, passenger, cargo, accessories &c. The dry weight of the bike is 584 Lb so the GVWR has to be more than that....
Heck, the front GAWR alone is 370...

The manual says my '78 GL weighs 601 lbs. dry. That would be 645 lbs.+/- with fluids. The manual also says vehicle cap. load is 360 lbs. GVWR would be 1005 lbs.
I was wrong. Sorry if I confused anyone..................I'm out! giveup

5'7" 130lbs. My legs got cramped and I felt folded up on a long tour on my '83 1100. Got a good set of highway pegs and 2" higher bars to "stretch out". Do what you gotta do to be comfy and don't worry about the ones who are just jealous you're riding it and they're not.

I am of larger stature also and I make my GL1800 look like a moped.
Do I care? Nope.

6’5” 180 lbs. I look like a giraffe on a mini bike. Emgo Superbike bars made my 78 tons more comfy for me (and better lookin’ imo). I still cramp up occasionally, but I can usually stretch out a little by sliding back onto the passenger seat and tucking down.

At 6' 4 with a 36" inseam I used to feel my GL1000 was small when I saw myself in a storefront reflection.

I bought a Valkyrie and put hiway pegs on the crash bars to rest my calfs/ankles on when I needed a stretch.

Then I went and bought the itty bitty Kawasaki Z900 retro bike and love the reduced size and improved handling.

Any of these rides will zip me around without regard to my size. Love them all. Feel comfortable on any of them.
