Looking for cool Tyres, where to buy!?

#1

Post by Damferg »

Looking at Micheline, Metzeler, Pirelli Even son Chinese I've never heard of in my entire existence.
Personally I like the look from the Metzeler Mario Street
They have them in 100/90-19 & 130/80-17. I read that 78 gl wear sizes. 110/90-19 & 12/90-17. Any body knows if these ones will fit!? Can you advice me on what to do? I'll defenetly will have to import them from the US due to México not having any similar sizes or brands.
Please help!

You should always buy tires based on how they work, not how they look. You can't tell what they look like when you are on the bike but you can sure tell how they work...

But the all terain look do good on an old beast like the GL. The Scorchers or the Metzeler....
All jokes aside... You are absolutely right. I just found the Bridgestone exedra Max at a good price for Mex. $300 bucks the pair.
You are right it looks amazing but probably brake my wrist at the first puddle, thanks for advice.

GL1000 is not an off-road bike (although people will try anything). Use street tires rated for the weight. Avon, Dunlop, Bridgestone the most popular major brands. Shinko, Kenda and Duro are popular Asian cheaper tires. I have Duro 918s that I bought from denniskirk.com last year on my GL1000 and am pleased with them but haven't pushed them hard (yet). 130/90-17 rear, 100/90-19 front.
