My latest two stroke dirt bike
Here's a blast from the past....... I bet we all rode one of these as kids.
250 two stroke.
I just finished putting this bike together from an old beater and some spare parts that I had laying around.
It's running pretty good, but with the stock spark arrestor attached...... man is it slow.
The stock exhaust is very restrictive.
If I remove the muffler it wakes right up and will pull a wheelie, problem is, it will also wake the neighbors.
I'm gonna have to take it over to the dirtbike trails before I can really open it up and let it rip.

Me likey that bike. You did a great job with a bunch of parts as it looks really quite clean and ready to roll.

Wow,memories...my first bike was a 74 or 75 mx360 Yamaha. It'd scare the dickens outta me every ride. Had those thermoflow shocks with gas cylinders on the backs. My neighbors hated me. They got over it...until I got a '74 cb750k with a 4 into 1 Mac pipe...lol....

CR480, with head work done back in the day. A vicious beast!
The guy I got it from said every owner had had a hospital trip because of it.
I had my accident as well, but didnt bother with the hospital, they dont do squat for a broken foot.
Traded it away some years later to a friend.
When he finally got it running and went around the neighborhood, he immediately demanded I take it back in return for painting his VW bus. Got his attention, and a paint job!

Dang. I would truly love to have you paint my VW van. If you were closer, we would be having a chat.

Re: My latest two stroke dirt bike
Sadly, my business profile is dealership work, used car trades and auction buys. I can be working 7 days a week when the work is there. Retail work has to wait...
My buddy did almost all the body work {with my help where itwas needed}. I primed it over a weekend, and he sanded it out.
Had to wait a couple months before 3 days of availability opened up in my schedule!
Would you believe that that is the first all-over paint job I have done? Too busy doing panel work for dealers, frankly a whole different skill set.
