Thanks Lucien. This one has been (for me) a hand full. And it's not done yet! But it will soon roll off the table to make room for the 750F. Pretty much everything that's left is pretty routine stuff.

It has seen the light of day taken the maiden voyage! Still not ready for prime time, but I couldn't resist an <illegal> ride. No reg/ins, so I had to play nice. Sorta.

Before I could get out of the driveway I had to:

a) adjust the clutch. waaaayyyy out of whack. Still needs attention.
b) address two fuel leaks. Still needs attention.
c) fritter an hour away fettling to see why it was running like carp. Turns out the vacuum line was not seated on the run to the petcock. Wasn't getting fuel!

And still to do:

d) There's an oil leak way down low. Can't tell yet where it's coming from and not enough to drip (yet), but I can smell it.
e) need fittings that will allow use of the Voyager air shocks with manual fill (rather than hard lines from the former on-board air compressor). If anybody knows of a source for a Schrader valve that sits on a 6 mm machine thread, let me know. Having a bit of trouble sourcing that widget.
f) fork seals and install front fender

But, oh boy, is she a runner. Like the CBX, the grunt comes on well into the rev band. No instrumentation yet, but I'd say around 6 or so it gets on its horse and rides away. And away. And away. Me like.

Gonna be fun. (BTW, I did put on the side covers before being seen in public).

Oh yeah, noticed when I got back that I lost one of my exhaust turn downs. Dang it. They've been kicking around in the parts bin for the better part of a decade and I finally found something to use them on. Now I lost one on a maiden voyage.

Dang it.

Oooo, me likey. action1

As far as an oil leak goes, check the right sidecover. Unless the Voyagers fixed it, the grommet that seals the wires coming out from under the case was never the best. Mine drips just a touch. I've learned to deal with it. Not much else down there to leak other than the oil pan (easy) or case/base gasket (quite hard).

Another possibility is the oil seal for the water pump, where you'll get oil out the weep hole. It may seal up on its own, but if it doesn't the hardest part about replacing it is removing the radiator. Cake.

GREAT to see that thing outdoors!
