Thanks fellow, yes Gord it will be at the Barrie Huronia swap meet next May for its unveiling. I would like to put it in the January Toronto motorcycle show, yet it may not be finished. Hott I did replace those shocks in a purchase from David Silver Spares and they are like OEM it seems. Yes the fins were a newer skill set I tried out originally on a 1975 CB400F a few years back and that repair still is good.

So I am quite a bit further along now on the project with many new parts arriving recently and installed now on the bike.

I received a new AGM battery and a NOS set of rear foot rests and frame holders and a NOS headlight assembly that finishes the front end. I have been able to get the front and rear wheels attached with some new hardware on them such as NOS chain adjusters and new axle bolt.

The electrical is all done and working well with a new wiring harness and rebuilt signals and brake light. I am waiting for some carb parts and then they will be installed as the next project. I was able to do a Ultrasonic cleaning of the bodies and a rebuild with new soft parts.

New cables and brake pads and a new rear brake pedal arm complete the mechanical side of the recent work done in those areas. I have replaced all the original bolts and JIS screws with new original parts to keep the build hardware correct.

Finished the 1968 CL175 Winter project

Well I thought I would dig out this old thread and update it with a mostly finished bike that has all the correct parts in the right places. I was fortunate or not, depending on how you view this disease of restoration on old bikes. Many NOS parts came up on various sites and businesses, so I kept going with the NOS part purchases... doing my part.... one part at a time! :-D

I just received a NOS front fender that was available and the step bar for the riders footrests. Both parts are quite decent that are already on the bike, as shown in these pictures.

Yet NOS new is better. lolol

You have skills, patience and available funds. All critical in getting this gem sorted. Well done. Nice machine.

Thanks fellows for the love!

Since this bike turned into one of those hopefully once in a lifetime restorations, with all the financial considerations and by using all the NOS parts that became available. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to find this bike and save another early 60's technology Honda.
